Production Supervisor
Location – Romulus Michigan
Salary: $85k overtime
My client is an innovative material technologies company for applications in automotive, commercial, recreational, packaging, healthcare and building products
Purpose – Production SupervisorCoordinate the flow of production through the plant. Supervise the hourly employees assigned to the department. Coach employees to achieve expected results. Met out disciplines as required. Inter face with customer as required.
Responsibilities and duties – Production Supervisor
- Ensure customer quality standards are adhered to
- Meet daily production demands while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Effectively manage a workforce of approximately 15 to 25 unionized employees including training, coaching and discipline.
- Monitor and respond to day-to-day product and process concerns.
- Work closely with other departments in problem solving issues.
- Decision-making and problem solving of any technical or scheduling issues arising during the shift.
Job Requirements - Production Supervisor
- Solid understanding of automotive quality requirements.
- Knowledge of HSE, Collective Agreements and manpower planning.
- Able to work weekends and off-shifts.
Experience - Production Supervisor
- 3-5 years in a production or manufacturing supervisory position
- Bachelor degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent training
- Ideally automotive experience or similar face-paced / time-based industry
