Role: AWS Solutions Architect (FinOps)
Location: Greenwood Village, CO
Hybrid: 3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote
Duration: 12-Month Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking an AWS Solutions Architect with a background in successfully implementing Cost Optimization to join our Fortune Top 70 telecom client. In this role, you will be part of the AWS FinOps team that the Application Platform Services organization is building out to support and provide visibility across all teams utilizing AWS within their company. Your primary focus will be driving automation efforts around cost compliance controllers and building out best practices for tool implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise around the Cost Optimization Pillar of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Automate cost compliance controllers using CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Build best practices for implementing new tools.
- Provide documentation around automation uses cases using Confluence.
- Meet with stakeholders across the organization to understand AWS usage.
- Present findings to leadership.
- Drive FinOps strategy, cost optimization, cost tracking, and reporting.
- Report directly to the Senior Director of Engineering of Public Cloud while working closely with an AWS BI Analyst, as well as AWS Cloud Engineers.
Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience developing solutions for cost optimization and automation.
- Strong experience automating cost compliance controllers for large-scale AWS environments.
- Experience using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Understanding of the AWS Cost Explorer tool and AWS cost related topics.
- Documentation skills using Confluence to showcase automation use cases and how issues are being solved.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
