Activities Assistant

Activities is the "fun" department of senior living! Enjoy bringing a smile to a resident's face as you help him/her stay engaged physically, socially, emotionally and cognitively as an Activities Assistant with Brookside Landing (independent and assisted living) in Orofino, Idaho.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team in providing engaging and meaningful activities for our senior residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with the elderly and creating a positive environment.

Duties:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities for residents.
• Engage residents in social, physical, and cognitive activities to enhance their overall well-being.
• Assist in coordinate group activities and outings to promote social interaction.
• Collaborate with the care team to address individual resident needs and preferences.
• Answering the telephones and taking messages appropriately for staff and residents.

Qualifications:

• Experience or interest in working with seniors in assisted living settings.
• Friendly, approachable personality
• Fun, energetic, positive, outgoing
• Ability to be on your feet and on-the-go majority of the day
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to manage schedules and prioritize tasks efficiently.
