We are currently searching for PART TIME ONLY Pet Care Professionals in Northern Brooklyn.

Required Availability = Tuesday - Thursday 10AM - 6PM NON-NEGOTIABLE .

*EXTRA DAYS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THOSE WITH ADDITIONAL AVAILABILITY*

Must be able to commit for at least 10 months.

Must be able to commit to 2 Major Holidays and 2 Minor Holidays per calendar year.

Job Description: 

Cover Walker 

(Starting Title: Pet Care Specialist)

As a Cover Walker at Brooklyn Bark, your responsibilities will include :

1. Daily Walks : Cover 8-10 miles daily while ensuring safe & responsible pet care practices
2. Diverse Dog Handling : Handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments in various weather conditions
3. Versatile Pet Care : Extend your services to a variety of animals – from cats to snakes!
4. Time Management : Plan your daily schedule efficiently based on appointment details
5. App Usage : Utilize the Time To Pet App for streamlined appointment management
6. Detailed Records : Document each walk/visit with honest notes and photos
7. Client & Pet Info : Access client and pet information within the app for personalized care
8. Punctuality : Maintain on-time check-ins and check-outs for appointments

While much of your schedule is planned in advance (at least 24 hours ahead), you should also be ready to accommodate last-minute client requests.

What you need:

We invite candidates who embody the following qualifications:

1. Demonstrated experience in animal care, gained through tending to family pets, working in daycare, grooming, or veterinary environments.
2. A foundation of reliability, conscientiousness, and an adept ability to communicate physical limitations when necessary.
3. A deep-seated commitment to safeguarding the well-being of animals while demonstrating a poised and rational demeanor.
4. Proficiency in critical thinking and the ability to apply logical reasoning across diverse scenarios.
5. Exceptional communication skills, marked by timeliness, thoroughness, and an unwavering commitment to honesty.

• We require the successful completion of a background check
• We strongly prefer you live no more than a 30MIN commute from Northern BK
