We are seeking shifts for a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist residents with activities of daily living and provide residents with routine daily nursing care and personal assistance in accordance with established nursing care procedure, and as directed by our supervisor in our Andover assisted care and Gardenview skilled nursing facility.

Variety of shifts available - 7-3pm, 3-8pm and 3-11pm. Must be willing to work weekend shifts as well. Willing to look at applicants for either part-time or full-time hours.

Responsibilities:

• Uphold high quality CNA services that meet and exceed resident expectations
• Maintain commitment to excellence in carrying out nurse aide/household responsibilities.
• Maintain focus on resident directed care.
• Participate in daily resident review with staff nurse and aide prior to and at end of shift.
• Manage caseload as assigned.
• Make continuous rounds to identify and meet residents’ care needs.
• Assist with transfers and positioning.
• Perform daily exercise, range of motion and ambulation as instructed.
• Observe and report change in resident’s physical or psychological well-being, and skin condition to nurse.
• Use EMR to document all care given. Ensure all tasks are complete by end of shift.
• Review programming calendar with residents and encourage attendance.
• Assist and participate in programs with residents.
• Transport Residents to/from appointments and programs.
• Assist Residents with activities of daily living, meal service, housekeeping and laundry.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of resident living unit, common spaces and kitchen & dining areas daily.
• Report all grievances and complaints made by the resident to nurse.
• Report all accidents and incidents you observe on the shift that they occur to nurse.
• Knock and wait for resident’s response before entering resident room/unit.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information to ensure the protection of resident rights.
• Other related duties as assigned
• Cue medication to residents on assignment. (Andover only)
• Perform resident check-ins per assignment. (Andover only)

Qualifications:

• Certified as a Nursing Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Prior experience working in a nursing home or home health agency preferred.
