Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, participate in providing patient care by providing nursing services to an assigned group of patients. (i.e. grooming, feeding, etc.). Collect specimens as needed. Assist and accompany patients during admission or discharge. Perform general care activities for patients. Record patient's personal care and physical findings. Review discharge instructions with the patients and confirms that the patient understands the instructions. Complete scheduling of follow-up appointments as ordered by the provider. Perform EKG and Phlebotomy on Patients.
- Must have 2 or 3 years in acure/chronic or ambulatory care setting.
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current BLS certification
- High School or GED (Required) or Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program
- Knowledge of EMR systems/programs
- Microsoft Office Suite
