About the Position:

Position will start July 29, 2024. Bromley East Charter school is seeking an Instructional Coach supporting grades 6-8 that will serve as a collaborative team member to support the school with increasing the performance of students in all content areas. Completion of CDE READ Act Requirements is a plus.

Interviews:

Open positions will be scheduled for interviews starting May 31st and will be ongoing until the position is filled.

Salary:

The hiring salary for a certified employee with a bachelor’s degree begins at $57,090 - $70,845 (Step 12). A certified employee with a master’s degree begins at $62,280 - $78,430 (Step 12).

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Coach and develop teachers to implement Tier 1 & 2 best practices with attention to standards aligned instruction, student engagement and the use of data to drive instruction along with other building instructional initiatives.

  • Conduct observations and provide appropriate coaching, modeling, and feedback on the implementation of instruction in alignment with building expectations.

  • Supports the PLC process with teams.

  • Assists building staff with data collection and examination of data to determine areas of success and opportunities for growth for students, teachers and programs.

  • Keeps current on researched based instructional strategies and best practices for instruction.

  • Creates and delivers professional development and other training, as needed and requested by building leadership.

  • Oversees student plans in accordance with the READ Act.

  • Collaborates with multiple groups throughout the school and supports the development of teams and individuals through the use of high trust behaviors.

  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of researched based instructional strategies and best practices in instruction with the ability to support staff with implementation of best practices.

  • Knowledge of researched based coaching practices, adult learning theory and ability to develop and implement a successful coaching program.

  • Knowledge of best practices in assessment and data analysis.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with staff, students and families with a focus on the use of high trust behaviors.

  • Ability to develop individuals and teams.

  • Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong ability to reflect on self, others and programs, while maintaining a growth mindset and positive attitude.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Valid Colorado teaching license issued by the Colorado Department of Education or a current out of state license that is transferable to the State of Colorado. Click here for more information about license reciprocity in the state of Colorado.
  • Classroom experience (minimum of 5 years preferred).
  • Coaching experience preferred, but not required.
