Brodstone Healthcare is Hiring a RN / LPN - Brodstone Family Medical Center Near Superior, NE

JOB SUMMARY: Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following standards and practices. This role can be served by a RN or LPN. This job will support our Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
EDUCATION:
Associate Degree, Accredited school of Nursing (required)
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in Clinic Nursing (preferred)
CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
State of Nebraska RN or LPN License or Multi-State RN or LPN License (required)
Current BLS certification within 3 months of employment (required)
ACLS Certification (required)
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
  1. Adheres to Brodstone Healthcare’s Mission, Vision and Values.
  2. Adheres to Brodstone Healthcare’s Standards of Behavior.
  3. Able to prioritize each provider’s daily patient schedule. Adjusts as appropriate.
  4. Able to schedule, reschedule, cancel, and discharge patients correctly through the scheduling program.
  5. Understands how to bill for Brodstone Family Medical Center services.
  6. Gathers appropriate patient information in advance of each Brodstone Family Medical Center appointment.
  7. Communicate with specific provider’s office staff to insure patient information is accurately conveyed or received.
  8. Be able to start IV’s, administer IV medication as ordered along with mixing the proper medication, including IV solutions.
  9. Performs general nursing care to patients.
  10. Administrates prescribed medication and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and reports any reactions to provider.
  11. Prepares equipment and aids provider during treatments, examinations and testing of patients.
  12. Maintains timely flow of patients, ensures priority is given to emergency situations.
  13. Admits patients to rooms, screen for proper information and prepares for physical examination.
  14. Assists in scheduling additional patient testing.
  15. Anticipates providers needs for any patients exams or procedures.
  16. Instructs patients and family on medication and treatment instructions.
  17. Provides proper charting timely.
  18. Alerts provider to phone messages from other providers and handles appropriately.
  19. May need to work extended hours depending on clinic schedule.
  20. Be able to cover for Nurse Manager during their absence as needed.
  21. Assist other nursing personnel with performance of their duties as assigned and as the workload permits. Function as relief for other personnel as appropriate and to facilitate coworkers taking time off, such as personal days.
  22. Follows correct procedures for the handling and disposing of biohazardous infectious waste.
  23. Complies with safety procedures.
  24. Attends and participates in departmental meetings / in-services, Brodstone Healthcare quality improvement program, etc.
  25. Performs other duties as assigned.
