The Common Area Attendant helps with the day-to-day operations of the hotel and ensures a clean and sanitary environment. He or she performs various cleaning tasks using the necessary equipment and supplies. The Common Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel lobby, hallways, and bathrooms, as well as the hotel's restaurant.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma/GED
• Prior relevant experience, as well as familiarity with basic cleaning supplies and equipment
• He or she must be committed to the customers, reliable to his or her co-workers, and be a self-motivated, organized, and detailed individual.

Duties and Responsibilities

-- General janitorial duties including, sweeping, mopping, operating a floor scrubber machine, cleaning windows, railings, countertops, bathrooms and all public areas.-- Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times -- Stay current on all emergency procedures and acts accordingly -- Wear proper uniform and name tag at all times in accordance with the standards of appearance -- Attend department meetings -- Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including, but not limited to, those contained in the Employee Handbook -- Perform all other duties as assigned by management
