We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Officer to join our Howard County General Hospital team! As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors and employees. Duties:

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
• Utilize CCTV and surveillance equipment to monitor premises.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors and employees.
• Handle conflicts or incidents in a professional manner.
• Assist with emergency response.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when required.

Qualifications:

• Strong conflict management skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques a plus.
• First aid and CPR certification is a plus.
