Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. This position requires knowledge of veterinary terminology, pet care, animal handling, and medical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Monitor anesthesia during surgeries
- Take x-rays
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of patients
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
- Maintain accurate medical records
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician or similar role is preferred
- Proficiency in veterinary terminology and medical procedures
- Strong skills in animal handling.
- Familiarity with animal catheterization procedures
Requirements:
- Must have a genuine love for animals and a desire to provide the best possible care
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
