Job Summary : As a General Construction Laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting various construction projects by performing a range of manual tasks and assisting skilled tradespeople.

You will work under the supervision of construction managers, foremen, or lead workers to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities :

Performing Manual Labor : Execute a variety of construction tasks that require physical strength and endurance, including digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials.

Site Preparation : Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, erecting scaffolding, and setting up temporary structures as required.

Material Handling : Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas using appropriate machinery or by hand.

Assisting Skilled Workers : Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and masons by providing them with tools, materials, and assistance as needed.

Operating Equipment : Operate construction machinery and equipment under supervision, including but not limited to forklifts, jackhammers, compactors, and power tools.

Maintaining Safety Standards : Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Identify and report any potential hazards or safety concerns.

Cleaning and Maintenance : Keep construction sites clean and organized by removing debris, sweeping, and maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition.

Following Instructions : Follow instructions from supervisors and project managers accurately and efficiently to complete tasks within deadlines and according to specifications.

Qualifications and Skills :

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience as a construction laborer or similar role is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of construction techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
