WE ARE LOOKING FOR A Lead Manager - HRBP LEX/BC&S

SENIORITY LEVEL: Junior Level

FUNCTION: Human Resources

LOCATION: Winston-Salem, NC

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is part of HR - Business Partner Support.

The role will be responsible for partnering with Senior Leaders across the Law and External Relations (LEX) and Business Communications & Sustainability (BC&S) Functions to lead the delivery of the talent agenda for the functions. This role will be instrumental in crafting our culture, supporting our business strategies and developing the talent pipeline necessary to deliver on our objectives. The role will be encouraged to leverage best-in-class HR practices to lead, develop, deliver and support programs that continue to make Reynolds a “Great Place to Work” four years in a row.

Reports to: VP, HRBP Corporate & Scientific Research & Development

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Primary strategic partner to Law and External Relations (LEX) and Business Communications and Sustainability (BC&S) developing HR Strategies, needs assessments and resulting HR solutions.
  • Build relationships with business leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people related strategy and execution.
  • Ensuring the effective delivery of all HR programs and services. Responsible for HR results in the business including client satisfaction, HR effectiveness and associated financial results.
  • Partner with the functional leadership team to assess the state of the workforce and ensure the business attracts, develops and retains high quality talent at all levels in a continuous pipeline to support the growth objectives, opportunities, and strategies of the business.
  • Play an active leadership role in the commitment to continuous improvement and be perceived as credible and capable of leading organization effectiveness across the business. Serve as a steward of the talent management processes at a functional level to ensure feedback, documentation, and follow-up progress occurs.
  • Build working relationships with the Center of Excellence (COE) functions to ensure client’s needs are understood and met.
  • Work with clients to implement and manage human resources processes, including:
    • Talent management, development, recruitment and succession planning
    • Employee engagement strategies and plans
    • Base salary determination and review (e.g. dual career ladders, job evaluation), annual bonus and long-term incentives (stock option and restricted stock)
    • Strategic workforce planning
    • Employee relations

CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?

  • Do you have s minimum of 5 years of experience as a Human Resource Business Partner?
  • Do you have experience supporting Senior Leaders in a corporate function?

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Minimum of five to seven years of experience in progressively responsible roles within human resources, including human resources business partner or “generalist” roles. Previous rotation in a specialist role is a plus.
  • Experience leveraging organizational design principles and strategies to drive organizational effectiveness preferred.
  • Prior experience implementing talent strategies for a research and development function highly preferred; experience in a multi-national global consumer products company would be beneficial.
  • Knowledgeable in leading edge business practices, trends and information; aware of reward and benefits strategies and innovative tactics being applied in the marketplace.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience, with the ability to lead and develop individuals at all levels and with an array of skill sets.
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Decisive, demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and shifting demands (most critical – will be used when advertising the role)
  • Strong collaboration and team-oriented approach with an ability to positively influence others across an organization at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, self-confident individual who is comfortable operating with minimal direction and who thrives in a dynamic environment as a leader influencing change and transformation.
  • Able to build credibility among senior management and peers to gain commitment and support for major initiatives while placing company’s interests first.
  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in business, human resources or a related field preferred.
