JOB TITLE:

Enrichment Program Instructor

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The British International School of Boston, Massachusetts is seeking experienced energetic Staff to join our program Enrichment Programs team! We are building our enrichment programs for kids in years Nursery – Year 9.

Our program provides children with a fun, supportive, and creative environment to explore. We support children in becoming the kindest and most empathetic, most independent, capable, and most resilient version of themselves. We offer both structured and spontaneous opportunities for children to play, socialize, participate in art, science, building, group games, and more!

Typical candidates may be current college or graduate students, retired teachers, or parents of older kids, and/or individuals with experience working in an after-school program or summer camp, but anyone with a passion for working with children who is responsible, eager, and enthusiastic may apply!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Be responsible for the safety and supervision of a group of children

· Engaging with children, leading activities and dispensing materials as needed to follow daily activity schedules in the classroom.

· Take care of housekeeping, including set-up and clean-up of classrooms.

· Distributing snacks/lunch.

· Communicating with other staff members and the Enrichment Coordinator.

SKILLS:

· Good written and oral communication skills

· Flexible and adaptable

· Responsible and organized

· Open minded and creative thinker

· Experience with target age children

· Ability to command respect and cooperation in an elementary classroom

· Develop positive relationships with the kids and other After Care staff members

START DATE:

April 1, 2024

HOURS:

Seasonal (with possibility of extension), 5 days a week; from 3:00PM - 6:00PM.

$25/hr.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Staff are subject to background checks and necessary safeguarding training.

· Ability to commute

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

· First Aid Certification (Preferred)

· CPR Certification (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

· Childcare: 1 year (Required)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 14 per week
