As an Electrician's Helper, you will have the opportunity to learn and work alongside experienced electricians while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the electrical field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment according to project specifications
- Prepare materials and tools needed for each job and ensure they are properly organized and readily available
- Dig trenches, run conduit, and pull wires as directed by the electrician
- Use hand and power tools to complete tasks such as drilling, cutting, and soldering
- Perform basic electrical tasks, such as wiring outlets, switches, and light fixtures
- Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools, as well as other equipment used in the electrical trade
- Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure a safe work environment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as an electrician's helper or in a related field is preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials, as well as work in various weather conditions
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced electricians
