POSITION TITLE: Full-Time Faculty - Offshore Wind Energy (Tenure-Track; Open Rank - Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor)

PRIMARY LOCATION: New Bedford
REPORTS TO: Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math
POSITION STATUS: Full-time, tenure track, MCCC/MTA unit position with benefits. This is an academic year position. The title of this position will be Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor, depending on the selected candidate's experience. This position may be eligible for release time as department chair or curriculum coordinator.
STARTING DATE: Spring/Fall 2024
SALARY: Minimum hiring salary $47,931 - $63,543 - actual salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which may result in a higher salary than the stated range. Please refer to the New Hire Tables in the CBA for more information.
STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
As a member of the Engineering Department in the STEM areas, the Full-Time Faculty - Offshore Wind Energy will teach a full-time (15 credit hours per semester) schedule of Offshore Wind Energy, Wind Power Technology, Wind Power Operations and Maintenance, and Electromechanical Engineering courses, which may include but are not limited to the list found online in the Academic Catalog. Depending upon qualifications, they may also be responsible for teaching courses in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, and/or CAD (i.e. Material Science, Fluid Systems, Statics, Mechanics of Materials, Thermodynamics, Electrical Circuits, Digital Electronics, or Manual & CNC Machining), Manufacturing Processes, Lean & Six Sigma, Control Systems, and/or any other area of Engineering offered by the College. Courses may be held in the classroom at our Fall River, New Bedford, Attleboro, and Taunton locations; in the hybrid or online environment; and/or via other modalities as assigned.
