Description
SES Electrical LLC (SEL) is currently expanding and we are looking for a skilled Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As a subsidiary of Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH), we offer exciting opportunities for career growth and development. This role also involves nationwide estimating and coordination. This position is based in Colorado Springs, CO.
Responsibilities
•Develop project win strategy by reviewing project RFP to include SOWs, plans/specs, and present to executives for a Go/No-Go decision.
•Following project award; Plan, organize, schedule, and efficiently manage labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors in accordance with the contract time and the established budget.
•Develop and maintain effective relationships with owners, field staff, designers, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders throughout the project.
•Lead analysis and buyout of subcontracts, labor, material, and equipment.
•Monitor procurement timelines including continuous long-lead item tracking.
•Monitor projects closely to proactively address out-of-scope work requests, unforeseen conditions, and time impacts and promptly resolve at appropriate level and within given authorities.
•Work with superintendents, and stakeholders, and develop the CPM baseline project schedule as well as recurring schedule updates in accordance with contract documents.
•Develop fragments and TIAs as required.
•Prepare and maintain project budgets, change orders, schedule forecasts, and review monthly with upline reports.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or construction-related field or 5 years of progressive Project Management experience in Federal/DoD Construction.
•5 years of demonstrated experience in Design-Build construction.
•Experience leading successful project teams, including the development of employees and maintaining relationships with external teammates.
•Take initiative and operate with urgency; well-organized and methodical.
•A track record of sound judgment and success in completing projects on time and on budget.
•Ability to communicate both clearly and succinctly verbally and in writing.
•Advanced knowledge of construction principles/practices is required.
•Assume 50% travel to multiple project sites on a recurring basis. Home weekends.
•Willing to attain certifications required to fill in for field staff where necessary (QCM/SSHO).
•As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results.
Physical Requirements
Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunities to move about. Near visual acuity to review documentation, ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Working Environments
Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting.
