Bristlecone Building LLC is Hiring a General Technician-Construction Near Spokane, WA

A ‘General Technician’ for Bristlecone Building LLC is a highly valued member of our team. As a trustworthy, capable, and responsible person within the employee ranks, the General Technician is a front line employee of the company. As the position title suggests, successful candidates seek to be proficient as a generalist across numerous construction trade activities, rather than specializing in one area. A General Technician understands the company vision, and also must be able to communicate well with co-workers, trade partners, clients, and others in the manner best needed to achieve the greatest outcome. The General Technician reports to an Operations Coordinator (or other company managers) to execute contract deliverables for clients, performing tasks on numerous projects, which are oftentimes multifaceted and in operation concurrently. We are a small scale company delivering high end craftsmanship. Our projects will expose candidates to all phases of residential construction.

Overall, the ideal fit will be someone looking to grow, be a contributing part of a team, and seek to positively affect company outcomes.

  • Perform duties as needed to support client-deliverables as contracted.
  • Execute all tasks in support of contractual obligations.
  • Perform labor tasks with others as needed, seeking to accomplish tasks in the most efficient ways given time and resources.
  • Work within given project flows/schedules based on client directives and available resources.
  • Mentor others (fellow co-workers and trade partners) as necessary; refer productivity discrepancies or manning issues to managing members for timely correction.
  • Accurately perform self-assessment related to skill proficiency, ensuring tasks that are outside of competency or comfort level are clearly explained or demonstrated prior to execution.
  • Perform ongoing safety monitoring; provide recommended corrective actions for process enhancement.
  • Seek continual workplace education and development. Provide candid suggestions for company improvement.

Pay and benefits can be further discussed based on strength of candidate background, ultimately we are looking for the best fit.
