Job Type: Full-time

Introduction: Brio-Medical is an esteemed Integrative Oncology Center committed to transforming cancer care through a synergistic blend of conventional and holistic treatments. We aim to deliver holistic, patient-centered care that supports healing and recovery across all aspects of an individual’s health. We are currently seeking an experienced, compassionate, and skilled Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about integrative medicine to join our expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed patient assessments including medical history, physical exams, and evaluations to determine appropriate integrative treatments in line with our center’s protocols.
  • Collaborate with Doctors, nutritionists, naturopaths, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address both the oncological and holistic needs of patients.
  • Manage ongoing patient care, adjust treatments as necessary, and monitor progress towards wellness and recovery.
  • Educate patients and their families about integrative oncology practices, treatment options, lifestyle changes, and wellness strategies.
  • Participate in research and stay updated on the latest trends in integrative medicine and oncology to enhance patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with all medical laws and regulations, as well as internal standards.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to nursing staff and assist in developing educational programs within the center.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school.
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license and ANCC or AANP certification.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in oncology, palliative care, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in integrative and holistic medicine.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a patient-focused approach.

Skills:

  • Proficient in providing patient care under stressful situations and managing a varied patient load.
  • Knowledgeable about alternative treatments and interventions that can be integrated into conventional cancer care.
  • Ability to educate and inspire patients to participate in their health improvement actively.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities to work cohesively within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

- Perform comprehensive physical examinations on patients, including obtaining medical history and assessing vital signs

- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections

- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work, X-rays, and MRIs

- Prescribe medications and treatments based on patient needs

- Provide family planning services, including contraceptive counseling and prescribing birth control methods

- Perform minor surgical procedures using aseptic technique, such as suturing wounds

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patient encounters

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans

- Provide education to patients on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and self-care techniques

- Conduct regular visits to nursing homes or assisted living facilities to provide medical care to residents

- Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology

- Proficient in performing physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations

- Familiarity with medical coding systems for accurate documentation and billing purposes

- Ability to use electronic medical record (EMR) systems effectively

- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members

- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
