• Plans, implements, and manages the activities of the installation technicians.
• Ensures familiarity and training of product installation skills.
• Acts as a liaison to resolve problems professionally and effectively at customer sites.
• Ensures timely and accurate completion of billing and paperwork.
• Formulates a sound business plan to provide cost efficient service for targeted sales growth in accordance with established plan and market share targets.
• Works with Regional Install Service Manager to meet profitability goals.
• Communicates current installation policies, procedures, techniques, demonstration of equipment, new products and services, sales promotions and area advertising.
• Works closely with sales team to help develop low installation costs and recommend proper and varied applications of systems.
• Establishes and maintains a high level of quality and timely installation to customers for maximum retention.
• Develops and maintains installation technician team through recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching techniques.
• Tracks and records daily/monthly/quarterly installation activity to include individual installers' efforts and results.
• Serves as the primary contact for market installation techs and help provide input and feedback related to any Installation issues.
• Educates and enforces NFPA, National Electric Code, Manufacturers’ Instructions, Safety Policies and Procedures with personnel.
• Conducts meetings on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Responsible for ensuring installation technician vehicles are properly maintained.
• Ensures accuracy of timesheets for payroll, processes PTO requests, applies the company discipline policy, and grants compensation increases to direct reports.
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Manager and/or Senior Leadership Team.

• Previous management experience, managing a team of at least 5 technicians.
• Understanding of low voltage electronic systems, Access, Fire, Intrusion, and VST.
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
• Must possess a willingness to learn in an ever-changing industry.
• Willingness to learn and understand IT and network infrastructure.
• Knowledge and experience with hand tools and various power tools.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Must strive to work independently, with little or no supervision while still providing a team-oriented attitude.
• Must maintain proper dress code and appearance.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and willing to travel.
• Must pass an extensive background check and drug screening process.
• Must be able to work under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines.
