POSITION SUMMARY
BAI is a company that provides a variety of support services for people with intellectual disabilities. This position focuses on providing applied behavior analysis services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries and/or autism as well as supervising services provided by other designated employees. This position requires the ability to prioritize work and complete assigned program documentation accurately and within the allotted time frames. Furthermore, this position requires the ability to have good public relations skills in working with a variety of outside professionals and state employees, effectively train employees on behavior interventions, summarize client progress, and communicate effectively with others.
AUTHORITY
The Behavior Analyst assists the Clinical Director and/or Senior Behavior Analyst and is directly responsible for the behavior plans for people supported by BAI as well as supervision and oversight of other employees as designated.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Regular, timely and consistent attendance
  • Adhere to the Ethics Code for Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and develop programs for each person assigned to caseload.
  • Attend staff meetings, team meetings, and/or work with individual employees, as needed, to train on programs or continue assessments.
  • Write progress notes, to include evaluation of data, graphing of data, and evaluation of current program.
  • Compile, get authorization for, and present all programs with restrictive behavior interventions to Human Rights Committee (HRC) and to the Behavior Intervention Committee (BIC).
  • Ensure recommendations made by HRC and/or BIC are completed.
  • Provide training to employees and HRC committee members on Human Rights.
  • Meet regularly with person-centered team members to coordinate services and provide training to those implementing programs (e.g., DSPs, Managers).
  • Consult on cases, as needed, which could include taking after-hours calls and attending team meetings.
  • Ensure client’s clinical needs are met when using PTO and/or FMLA (e.g., coordinating with a colleague or supervisor to provide necessary oversight).
  • Attend intake and other team meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor, VP of Clinical Services, COO and/or CEO.
  • Follow state policies and procedures.
  • Serve as an official representative of BAI and market a positive image.
  • Train (instruct, model and give feedback) and provide performance feedback to designated employees
  • Complete and maintain CEU requirements for supervision as outlined by the BACB and state licensure board.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of least 18 years old
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Pass a drug test
  • Possess the ability to speak, read and write effectively in English
  • Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and valid vehicle insurance
Experience or Education:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • A Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis or related field
  • Certified as a BCBA or BCBA-D
  • Licensed as a Behavior Analyst in the State (as applicable).
  • Have good public relations skills in working with a variety of outside professionals and state employees.
  • Able to effectively train employees on behavior interventions.
  • Provide supervision and oversight of other employees as designated.
Training and Certifications
  • Maintain Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certificate from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Maintain Licensed Behavior Analyst from the State of Nevada

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to an indoor environment where the temperature is usually moderate and the noise level is minimal. The employee may be exposed to various environments including, but not limited to the following: aggressive individuals, may come in contact with blood and/or saliva, and other OPIM.
