Brilliant Consulting is Hiring a Nanny/Personal Assistant Near Village, CA

The Family | A friendly and loving family with a busy Mom CEO of a company with two kids a 6-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl looking for a nurturing, fun, proactive caretaker who can anticipate the kid's needs. If this person can also help with homework and tutoring that would be a bonus. The role is combined with personal assistance to the Mom, helping manage the house, errands, returns, grocery shopping, cooking dinners, help keep house organized.

The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for providing excellent care as a nanny and the ability to maintain the household’s day-to-day flow. This position is perfect for someone who exudes reliability, a proactive nature, takes the initiative, has a caring disposition, and thrives in a role that seamlessly blends child care with effective household management.

THE SON | Is 6 years old, is very curious, and loves to play chase, sports, coloring, and arts and crafts. He is in school most days until 315pm but there are some days home due to school closures, holidays, sickness, etc. He is active and has lots of energy. We would love someone who will be active and play, come up with games, come up with fun activities, read with him, and help him practice writing.

THE DAUGHTER | Is 12 years old, graduating from elementary school going into middle school, helping with driving and coming up with engaging activities, helping with school work would be a bonus.

THE JOB DETAILS | The position is a hybrid role that combines childcare duties with family assistant tasks.

The candidate will be responsible for providing nurturing and attentive care to both kids. This includes engaging the boy with stimulating and developmental activities suitable for his age and employing various educational and recreational techniques such as creative arts, imaginative role- playing, and active play. The nanny will collaborate closely with the parents to align on the most effective parenting strategies and developmental approaches for him.

Furthermore, the family encourages manners and expects the nanny to enforce manners and politeness.

For the daughter, helping with scheduling, chores, homework, and driving.

As a family assistant, the role involves contributing to the smooth operation of the household. Responsibilities include assisting with duties such as helping with managing the house, personally assisting the mother with bill payments, returns, errands, and preparing meals for both kids. Managing grocery shopping, maintaining a fully stocked house, keeping track of household supplies, running various errands, and organizing deliveries. (The house is cleaned a couple times a week by our other nanny)

The family places significant trust in their nanny and appreciates a commitment to extensive availability, including the option to work additional hours during date nights and weekends.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE | The ideal candidate for this role will possess a robust background, with at least three years of dedicated experience in nurturing children or engaging in comparable capacities. In addition, candidates should bring to the table no less than 3 years of committed, full-time professional service as a nanny.

The candidate should demonstrate an instinctive ability to seamlessly integrate into the family's routine, offering vigilant support in the children's upbringing and the household's smooth operation. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE CONTINUED | Exceptional communication skills are vital; the ability to articulate effectively with children, parents, educators, and others is a must. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required, and fluency in a second language is highly regarded.

The family seeks someone with an impressive work ethic who can both adhere to instructions and independently make sound decisions in the best interest of the child, parents, and their household.

Adaptability is key – the candidate should be amenable to receiving guidance and constructive feedback from the parents. A collaborative spirit and respect for both professional and personal boundaries are crucial. Additionally, the family wants a candidate who is comfortable around dogs and a confident swimmer. The daughter loves spending time in the pool, especially during the summer.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of three years of dedicated experience in a full-time capacity as a nanny or family assistant.

A minimum of three years of proven experience in caring for preschool-aged children.

A deep-seated passion for child development and engagement in activities suitable for various ages. A sense of inspiration and pride in delivering high-quality childcare.

A strict non-smoking policy is in place for the well-being of the family environment.

Mandatory immunizations that are required to work with children - flu, covid, etc.

The ideal candidate will be ready to make a stable, long-term commitment to the position, which offers full-time hours. The family anticipates a consistent need for these services for a minimum duration of two to five years.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

The candidate must possess a dependable form of personal transportation suitable for use during work duties, including school pick-up responsibilities, and a clear driving record and background.
