JOB SUMMARY:The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining industrial equipment in a manufacturing job shop environment. This position will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment, components, and systems including, but not limited to, CNC machines, welding and fabrication equipment, cranes, and fork lifts.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance installations, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on facilities and plant equipment

· Complete daily assignments for plant and equipment PM’s

· Install and maintain overhead cranes, industrial machine tools, fork lifts, and facilities

· Assist in complex machine set ups

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· 3 years’ industrial maintenance experience

· Prior experience with troubleshooting, maintaining and installing machines, equipment and facility upgrades

· Working knowledge of industrial hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems

· Skilled in reading and interpreting blue prints, engineering, electrical and mechanical drawings

· Experience executing preventative maintenance schedules

· Strong organizational skills

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) certification

· Experience performing maintenance activities in a job shop environment

· Experience working with overhead DC crane operation and maintenance

· Knowledge and experience working with 480 volt power

Essential Physical Functions Needed:

· Alternately stand, stoop, crawl, kneel, and walk throughout the work day

· Climb and work from ladders or stairs

· Ability to frequently lift/push/pull 50 pound objects

· Use of hands/fingers to grasp, pull, handle, and manipulate parts and tools

· Frequent ability to sit at work station

· Exposure to noise, fumes and varying temperature

· Perform repetitive motions

· Hand-eye coordination
