Responsibilities
- Enthusiastically support, promote, and adhere to Brilar’s Mission, Vision and Core Values: Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Win/Win (1 1=3), Unity, Integrity, Safety, and Respect
- Safe transportation of company assets and materials to and/or from Brilar job sites or between Brilar branches
- Adhere to all federal, local, and state laws and regulations, as well as company policies
- Self-loading and unloading of all assets and materials to and/or from Brilar job sites or between Brilar branches
- Participates in other branch operation activities when called upon to do so
- Actively participate in snow & ice management operations, which requires on-call 24/7 availability
- Conduct daily DOT inspection(s) of any assets used per federal requirements and company policies
- Report any vehicle defects or unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately
- Report any incidents to supervisor immediately
- Always represent the company in a positive and professional manner
- Embrace and practice education and continuous improvement, in order to expand knowledge and grow in terms of level of responsibility and contribution to company
- Align with all Brilar’s Mission, Vision and Core Values: Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Win/Win (1 1=3), Unity, Integrity, Safety, and Respect
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
- Consent to random, reasonable suspicion, and post incident drug testing
- Must be insurable by Brilar insurance carrier
- Must have and maintain a valid CDL-A driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Must have a valid MDOT health card
- Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months experience transporting heavy equipment on flatbed trailers
- Occasional overnight stays when needed (limited)
- Required to be on call 24/7 during the winter season including weekends and holidays
- During the winter season must be time flexible, without schedule restrictions
- During the winter season are expected to complete their assigned shift and/or route, expect and be well prepared to work long hours when called
- Must be physically able to operate power equipment
- Able to lift 50 lbs, bend, walk repeatedly for a continuous period
- Able to follow instructions and complete assignments
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally
- Must be reliable and possess a positive attitude
- Able to read maps, and able to communicate and work well with others
