The Wellspring Village Director at Brightview Senior Living serves as the community's leader and expert in dementia / memory care for all residents and associates.

In this role, you will lead and direct all care, services and programming within Wellspring Village (Brightview’s special neighborhood for residents with dementia and other memory care needs), ensuring exceptional quality and services. This includes attracting, retaining, coaching, motivating, and leading a team of high performing associates that deliver on our mission and brand promise.

On a daily basis you will get to:

• Develop, plan and lead a broad range of programming to engage and stimulate the residents of Wellspring Village. 
• Establish, monitor, and adjust work schedules to ensure adequate staffing to meet our Brightview service standards and budget.
• Conduct routine rounds of the community.
• Participate in initial and ongoing resident assessments to help identify needs and changes in condition.
• Assist in the development of the Resident Services Plan.
• Participate in regular resident and family meetings.
• Help conduct new hire training and monthly in-service trainings.

• You have a minimum of three years’ experience working directly with people living with cognitive impairment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience is key and you have a comprehensive knowledgebase of the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence people living with cognitive impairment.
• Understanding that there are many ways to care for someone, you have a strong understanding of therapeutic and behavioral interventions and techniques for effectively interacting with individuals with cognitive impairment.
• You are able to design, develop, and execute programs and activities for people with dementia.
• You have the ability to provide education, guidance and support to families coping with the changes caused by dementia.
• Having honed your leadership skills, you will be able to mentor our team and lead, direct, and motivate others to innovate and excel.
• You are accustomed to managing a department that operates 24 hours a day.
• As an organized individual who uses time wisely, you are able to work in a fast paced environment where multiple competing demands for time and attention exist.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact, in English, with a diverse group of associates, residents and family members.
• You can apply reason, logic, and advanced problem solving skills to resolve complex and/or sensitive issues.
• Your written and verbal communication skills are very strong as are your skills regarding the use of technology that this role requires.
