BrightStar Senior Living is currently searching for a Maintenance Technician to oversee both of our Madison and Waunakee communities. We are a small CBRF community with well maintained buildings and grounds. This is an awesome opportunity for someone who can work well independently but also would enjoy interacting with the elderly who may have cognitive and/or physical limitations.

Position Requirements

• Perform daily maintenance on all common areas.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace, repair and maintain all aspects of the building.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance (change air filters).
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in carpentry and/or the trades is required.

• Clean background check is a must.

• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
• Must have knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, drywall repair, and painting.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call

Experience:

• HVAC: 1 year (Required)
• Maintenance: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• HVAC Certification (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Madison, WI 53711: Relocate before starting work (Required)
