Reliable, fun & creative nanny needed for happy 5 month old girl

Location: Ocean, NJ

Schedule:

28 hours/week
Monday & Tuesday: 8am-4pm

Thursday & Fridays: 8am-2pm
*Can be somewhat flexible

Length: at least1 year commitment

Start date: June 2024

Pay: $25/hour

About the child:

Child (5 months old): This happy little girl is very sweet and loves being around people. She loves to listen to music, loves to be read to, and loves to play with her toys in her room and her play area.

Ideal personality (of Nanny):

You are a positive and optimistic person who truly loves working with children. You do not consider yourself to be a very strict person; instead, you are a warm, go with the flow person who laughs easily and finds joy in the small and silly moments. You are happy for a day that entails playing on the floor, singing, and other impromptu, child-centered infant/toddler activities. You are a loving, warm person who enjoys spending time around adults as well as children, as the adults in the household work from home in private office spaces.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of Infant care
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record
• Must be proficient in English

Responsibilities:

• Follow a developmentally appropriate schedule, which nanny will collaborate with parents to make, that ensures consistency in naps, meals, wake time, etc.
• Loving and attentive care of baby, including the meeting of all basic needs (diapering, bathing, eating, naps, laundry for child etc.)
• Bottle preparation/sanitation, and light food preparation when baby starts solids.
• Engage baby in learning and exploration via books, stories, art, songs and playtime.
• Sing and dance with the child; be happy, laugh and teach her new things everyday – be creative!
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities, with a focus on developmental milestones.
• Foster confidence via nurturing care
• Spend time outdoors when weather permits (playing, going on stroller walks around the neighborhood)
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of spaces you use in the home (essentially: leave the house how you found it)
• When baby is napping: Laundry for the child, cleaning up child’s space including toys, folding blankets, cleaning bottles

Important to note:

• Must love dogs: This family has a 4 year old French Bulldog.
• Nanny will have no responsibilities related to care of the dog. The dog will remain in his crate.
