“BrightStar Care of East Brunswick/New Brunswick and Princeton” is hiring for a "Director of Operations" position. Our Business is expanding, and this is a great opportunity to join a growth organization in a leadership role. You have the opportunity to build your team, we are rapidly expanding our Home Care, Home Therapy, and Home Infusion business.

BrightStar Care is a national home care and medical staffing franchise headquartered in Chicago with more than 380 franchised and company-owned locations nationwide that provide medical and non-medical services to clients in their homes, as well as supplemental care staff to corporate clients.

We are locally owned and operated. BrightStar Care's nurses, therapists, certified nurse aides, and caregivers deliver professional and compassionate in-home care services for people of all ages – from infants to seniors, as well as medical staffing services for healthcare facilities. BrightStar provides a higher level of care with accreditation from the Joint Commission.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management – establishes financial goals for individual branches and consolidated operations, including revenue and expenses, and develops budget and business plans to achieve targets and maintain profitability.
  • Contracting – Interprets and administers national contracts, fulfillment of contract requirements in assigned territories and ensures operations are conducted in compliance with contract provisions.
  • Sales and Marketing – Oversees revenue goals and profitability goals and builds deeper realtionship with new and existing referral sources.
  • Customer Service – Establishes customer service standards and processes for individual branches and consolidated operation, monitors and evaluates customer service activities and results and implements actions to improve and maintain service.
  • Staffing and Recruiting/Staff Management – establish and oversees plans to identify and develop sources of qualified staff, contact and recruit prospects, secure commitment for employment and maintain employee relationships to ensure a continuous supply of qualified staff;
  • Risk Management – establishes processes for continuous review of operations for compliance with applicable laws and accreditation requirements and initiates modifications or corrective actions as required.
  • Process payroll,Insurance/Client Billing, and Receivables on a weekly basis.
  • Scheduling field staff for new and existing client engagements and fill open shifts as needed.
  • Exercises staff oversight to ensure new operations plans, policies and procedures are consistent with company goals and objectives.
  • Handles personnel issues directly, using appropriate discretion and seeking professional HR/legal advice as appropriate
  • Oversee and supervise processes in accordance with NJ regulatory agencies such as DOH and Joint Commission.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing high-volume healthcare offices, branches, or agencies; agency operations with a strong customer relations and quality of work culture.
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Management or Administration; may substitute Degree requirement with a combination of education/experience; and minimum of 2 years’ experience as Director of Operations and/or multi-site/unit manager
  • Prerably some knowledge of Joint commission or equivalent regulations, guidelines and audit process
  • 2-3 years’ managing people and effectively scheduling staff at all levels (supervisory, per diem staff, full-time, and part-time employees).
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of health care in home and/or institutional setting.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience managing and supervising field staff, LPNs, CNAs, and RNs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and using major brand payroll software/payroll provider (e.g. PayChex, Oasis, ADP preferred).

High School Diploma: College preferred.

Pay: $82,000.00 - $92,500.00 per year
