Position Description: Development, implementation, delivery and oversight of the didactic phase curriculum and assessment.
Essential Functions:
*Works with the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education to develop and implement a comprehensive, progressive didactic curriculum
*Works with the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education develop and implement horizontal and longitudinal goals and learning objectives within the curriculum to ensure a system of progressive student learning and assessment across the continuum of the program
*Works with the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education to develop a strategy to design, implement and maintain curricular mapping of the didactic phase of the PA curriculum
*Implements and oversees the ongoing delivery and evaluation of the didactic phase of the program
*Development, implementation and oversight of the didactic curriculum and assessment plan for the didactic phase of the program
*Serves as program liaison to the Biomedical Science and Medical School faculty to facilitate integration of biomedical sciences into the didactic curriculum
*Assigns course directors for each course within the didactic curriculum
*Course director or co-director, as assigned
*Classroom instruction and small group facilitation in the PA program in areas of expertise
*Chair, Didactic Education Committee
*Develops and participates in student assessment and evaluation
*Provides student advising
*Contributes to application evaluation, interviews and selection of matriculating students
*Participates in site visits to clinical preceptors, as needed
*Participates in the ongoing program evaluation and accreditation processes
*Scholarly activity in areas of research interest
*Serves on university and School of Medicine committees, as requested
Qualifications:
*PA-C, Master's Degree;
*State Licensure (or license-eligible);
*3-5 years of experience in PA education
