This Accounting Director - HomeHealth, Hospice position is responsible for accounting activities related to Month-end Close and financial reporting, account analysis and documentation for BrightSpring Health Services operations.

Assists with monthly, quarterly, and annual audit requirements
• Supervises accounting staff of 3-5 associates
• Reviews and approves reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements to ensure that they are prepared properly and follow-up on any unusual items
• Coordinates the monthly accrual process with field operations for certain vendors
• Oversees maintenance of systems and controls that verify the integrity of systems, processes, and data
• Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes, ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization
• Maintains relationships with internal and external auditors
• Reports to management on variances from the established budget and the reasons for those variances
• Ensures that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a monthly basis
• Communicates key information to top executive management
• Leads and directs work of others
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Performs other tasks as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Seven to ten years in Accounting, including 2-3 years in a supervisory role required
• CPA preferred
• Knowledge of general accounting and US GAAP required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
• Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, and related accounting software required
• Outstanding financial reporting and analytical skills required
• Knowledge of internal and external audit requirements required
• Ability to utilize new tools and technologies in a rapidly changing environment required
• Knowledge of Oracle preferred
