Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and families
- Monitor and assess each child's development and progress
- Use effective behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
Requirements:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with young children
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies for children with special needs
Note: Experience working in a daycare setting is highly desirable.
