**Job Title: Quality Technician (Aerospace Industry)**

**Overview:**

As a Quality Technician in the aerospace industry, you play a critical role in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance. You will be responsible for executing quality control processes, conducting inspections, and implementing corrective actions to maintain compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Quality Control Inspections:** Perform detailed inspections of aerospace components, subassemblies, and finished products using precision measuring instruments and visual inspection techniques.

2. **Document Review:** Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation to ensure alignment with standards and requirements.

3. **Non-Destructive Testing (NDT):** Utilize NDT methods such as magnetic particle testing, liquid penetrant testing, ultrasonic testing, and radiographic testing to detect defects and irregularities in materials and structures.

4. **Root Cause Analysis:** Investigate quality issues, identify root causes of defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.

5. **Quality Assurance Processes:** Monitor and maintain compliance with quality management systems, including AS9100 or other relevant industry standards.

6. **Calibration and Maintenance:** Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of measurements.

7. **Supplier Quality Management:** Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, conduct supplier audits, and evaluate supplier performance.

8. **Continuous Improvement:** Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

9. **Training and Documentation:** Provide training to personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Maintain accurate records and documentation of quality inspections and test results.

10. **Regulatory Compliance:** Stay informed about regulatory requirements, industry trends, and best practices related to aerospace quality assurance and ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as FAA regulations.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field (preferred).

- Prior experience in quality assurance or quality control within the aerospace industry.

- Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards, regulations, and inspection techniques.

- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and technical specifications.

- Familiarity with NDT methods and equipment.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Certification in quality management systems (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Technician) is a plus.

**Working Conditions:**

The role may involve working in manufacturing facilities, clean rooms, or laboratories. Depending on the organization, occasional travel may be required for supplier audits or customer visits. Adherence to safety protocols and procedures is essential due to the potential hazards associated with aerospace manufacturing processes.
