Job Title: Production Machine Operator I
Job Summary: Under direct supervision, the Production Machine Operator I performs essential tasks related to the operation, setup, and maintenance of production machinery and equipment. They are responsible for ensuring a safe work environment and maintaining production quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on production machinery and test equipment.
- Utilize various documents such as job travelers, blueprints, and schematics to execute tasks accurately.
- Troubleshoot machinery performance issues and implement solutions effectively.
- Maintain adequate stock of raw materials and adhere to equipment maintenance schedules.
- Evaluate production items to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Fulfill any additional responsibilities assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Preferably a Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field are beneficial.
- Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience in operating production equipment and machinery.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in basic mathematics.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Capable of following established procedures to complete tasks efficiently.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Work Schedule: Regular, consistent attendance is required. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and additional hours as necessary.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $19.81 - $22.00 per hour
