BrightPath Associates is Hiring an Industrial Painter Near Streetsboro, OH

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team at our facility in Streetsboro, OH. The Industrial Painter will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other coatings to a variety of surfaces including metal, concrete, and wood, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary.
  • Select and mix paints to match colors and specifications provided.
  • Apply paint, varnish, and other coatings using spray guns, brushes, or rollers, ensuring even coverage and desired texture.
  • Operate and maintain painting equipment and tools in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Monitor drying times and make adjustments as necessary to ensure proper curing of coatings.
  • Inspect surfaces for imperfections and make any necessary touch-ups or repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of paints and supplies.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Industrial Painter or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in preparing surfaces and applying various types of coatings.
  • Knowledge of paint mixing, matching, and application techniques.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to comply with all safety guidelines and protocols.

Education and Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational training or certification in painting or related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and lift heavy objects as needed.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity.
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators, gloves, and safety glasses.
