Job Description:
Nurse Practitioner- Pediatric
Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) with active/unrestricted DEA
Specialty: Pediatrics
Employment Type: Full time, 4-5 days a week. Ability to work ½ day one Saturday a
month.
We are looking for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to diagnose and treat health
conditions, as well as promote good health practices. As an Advanced Practice
Registered Nurse, you’ll be one of our go-to providers for ensuring the best patient care
possible. Expectations for a Pediatric NP in our practice include taking patient histories,
conducting physical examinations, prescribing medications, interpreting lab and x-ray
results, and overseeing the health of our patients. You’ll be both a Health Practitioner
and an educator to our patients and families, supporting disease prevention practices
and helping people lead healthy lives.
Clinical experience in Primary Care is vital. As a Pediatric NP, you’ll work closely with
other healthcare professionals, including our office’s pediatricians. This means that
good communication, team spirit, and a positive attitude are essential. Patience and
problem-solving skills are also important to this role. If you’re dedicated to advancing

Responsibilities:
Taking patient histories and performing physical exams
Review patients’ medical records and write visit notes
Order and follow up on diagnostic tests (labs, x-rays, etc)
Discuss results of testing with patients and/or parents
Propose treatments for chronic, acute, and infectious diseases
Prescribe medications
Maintain accurate records and schedules
Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
Educate patients and their family members on diseases and prevention
Oversee patients’ overall health promote good health practices
Requirements:
Education in pediatric primary care, acute care, and chronic health condition
management
Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
Excellent communication skills
Strong ethics
Team spirit with a positive attitude
Patients and remaining calm in stressful situations
Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
License/Certification:
RN license, graduate degree in a Pediatric NP role, and national certification

DEA Certification (Required)
Current PALS certification
Weekly Schedule: Full time. Monday through Friday, either 4 or 5 days per week.
Office is open 9 AM to 5 PM. Ability to work for one ½ day Saturday (9 AM to noon) per
month.
