Salary Range from: $35

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

A licensed professional nurse directly under the supervision of the Director of Nursing Services.

• Responsibilities Include:

Under the supervision of the Wound Care Registered Nurse ensures consistent treatment of pressure ulcers and skin problems through direct care of patient’s skin ulcers, pressure ulcers and incisional wounds and other skin issues and through monitoring interventions of caregivers related to skin care.

• The Wound Care LVN provides ongoing to treatment and updates the plan of care, provides education to patients, families, and staff for patients with wounds and assists in the collection of assessment data related to skin integrity.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current License Vocational Nurse in the State of California
• minimum atleast 2 years of experience
• Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN) training or (WCC) or equivalent Wound Care Certification (preferred)
• Current BLS certification

Skills/Qualifications:

• Clinical Skills, Bedside Manner, Infection Control, Nursing Skills, Physiological Knowledge, Administering Medication, Medical Teamwork, Multi-tasking, Listening, Verbal Communication, Health Promotion and Maintenance.
• One (2 year experience working in SNF setting as a Wound Care Nurse preferred.
