The company is currently seeking a Purchasing Agent tosupport the Purchasing Manager in enhancing profits through negotiation, sourcing and process improvements.

General Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a trade base to ensure bidding is done in a competitive manner
- Review SOW with construction and quickly move to replace a trade that does not meet expectations
- Analyze subcontractor proposals
- Complete bid analyses
- Assist Purchasing Coordinators as needed
- Review plans for discrepancies and help identify solutions prior to construction start
- Assist with generation of projected direct costs for future communities
- Recommend price changes to management to achieve margins
- Ensure product specification changes are processed
- Negotiate to receive best pricing
- Update POs as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in the home building industry
- Experience using JDE Enterprise One
- Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Excel
- Highly accurate and detail oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Able to multi-task and see projects through to completion
