Duties:

Your responsibility as a Certified Medical Assistant at MedConnect Healthcare will range from clinical to administrative tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting healthcare professionals in carrying out medical procedures
  • Managing patient intake procedures, recording their medical history and vital statistics
  • Maintaining healthcare databases, ensuring the accuracy, privacy, and security of patient data
  • Scheduling patient appointments and liaising between patients and healthcare providers
  • Conducting basic laboratory tests and sample collection, and managing inventory of medical supplies
  • Educating patients about their treatment plans and medication procedures
  • Handling administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, updating medical records, and managing billing and insurance claims.
  • Conducting routine laboratory tests and specimen collection, such as blood draws and urinalysis.

Requirements:

  • Excellent patient service delivery skills with excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in medical software and Microsoft office programs
  • An understanding of medical terminologies, health information management, and ability to adhere strictly to health information regulations
  • Flexibility to work in shifts including some weekends and evenings
  • High school graduate or G.E.D certificate required
  • 18 years old and above
  • Proof of COVID vaccination
