Bright Vision Technologies is Hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist Near San Leandro, CA

Bright Vision Technologies has an immediate opportunity for Environmental Health and Safety Specialist at San Leandro, CA. with experience in environmental health and safety.
Candidate must have permanent work authorization and work for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future. Third party candidates are not eligible for this role.
Job Title:Environmental Health and Safety Specialist
Job Location: San Leandro, CA. 
Job Type: Onsite
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Natural Science, Engineering, Emergency Management, or related field AND Minimum three (3) years of experience in environmental health and safety, risk management, or directly related field OR Minimum six (6) years of experience in environmental health and safety, risk management, or a directly related field.
  • Healthcare Environmental Manager Certificate within 24 months of hire OR Industrial Hygienist Certificate within 24 months of hire OR Health Safety Professional Certificate within 24 months of hire OR Safety Professional Certificate within 24 months of hire OR Associate Safety Professional Certification within 24 months of hire.
Job Summary:
  • Independently develops, implements, and oversees strategies and programs to enable compliance with applicable federal, state, and local Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) regulatory requirements, and organizational EH&S and Workplace Safety (WPS) policies and standards.
  • Contributes to the success of Environmental Health and Safety programs through implementation, evaluation, monitoring, and enhancement.
  • Contributes to employee safety and protection through independent implementation of Environmental Health and Safety programs and training efforts.
  • Ensures high-quality service by resolving standard issues and acting as a resource on EH&S and WPS matters.
  • Recognizes and assesses hazards and risks by developing and implementing best practices for identifying, analyzing, documenting, and communicating standard and nonstandard workplace environmental health and safety risk trends.
  • Prepares high-quality analysis and reports regarding the state of environmental health and safety. Ensures risk control by interpreting general guidelines to promote workplace safety and compliance and evaluate the effectiveness of measures to improve workplace safety outcomes.
