Welcome to Bright Side Pediatric Dentistry! We are searching for an experienced dental assistant to join our clinical team. Bright Side Pediatric Dentistry is a start-up office that is committed to providing high quality, patient centered care in a fun and interactive setting. Our ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with parents, guide young patients through procedures, and be a great team player! Experience working in a pediatric setting and/or dental office is preferred.

Office hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00-4:00pm. Additional days will become available as we grow!

Commitment to working Monday, Wednesdays and Thursdays is needed!

Dental Assistant Responsibilities:

- Excellent customer service

- Assist the dentist with dental procedures and behavior management

- Dental cleanings/ coronal polishing

- Obtaining dental radiographs

- Sterilization lab duties

- Assist with treatment under sedation and general anesthesia

- Assist with treatment of patients with special health care needs

- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records

- Provide dental education to patients and their family members

- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar

- Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant

- Graduation from Dental Assisting Training Program preferred but not required

- Proficiency in infection control protocols

- Familiarity with Open Dental or other dental practice management software

- Understanding of dental anatomy and terminology

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus

- Basic Life Support (BLS)

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 24 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
