Bright Path ABA LLC is Hiring a Behavior Technician Near Sayreville, NJ

*Training is mandatory for new employees who do not have prior work experience.*

Please note most cases are available are in the afternoons and on the weekends. Session will be conducted in clients (families) homes.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing Treatment Plans: Follow detailed behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition plans developed by the supervising BCBA. This includes teaching communication, social, and functional life skills as directed.
  • Data Collection: Systematically collect data on the behaviors and skills of clients as outlined in their ABA programs. This involves recording the frequency, duration, intensity, and context of behavior and skill acquisition, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Intervention Techniques: Employ ABA intervention techniques effectively, such as discrete trial training (DTT), natural environment teaching (NET), pivotal response training (PRT), and others as specified in the treatment plan.
  • Managing and Reducing Challenging Behaviors: Apply strategies to reduce challenging behaviors in a compassionate and effective manner, ensuring the safety of the client and others, while promoting positive behaviors.

Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
- Experience working with children in a therapeutic or educational setting.
- Understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles is a plus.

Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and scheduling.
- Patience, empathy, and compassion when working with individuals with behavioral challenges.
- Ability to follow protocols and procedures accurately.

This position requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel to various locations.
