Under the direction of the VP, Government Programs and Business Development, the Director, ACO REACH is responsible for the operations and management of government programs requiring coordination across clinical operations, market delivery, legal, contracting, compliance, and analytics teams. The Director serves as lead facilitator among key stakeholders in program development to ensure effective implementation, compliance, and contractual arrangements to fulfill regulatory requirements, communication, and monitoring of designated programs.

This individual will also play a key role in managing strategic relationships with external partners to drive ACO REACH performance, working with trade associations to stay abreast of policy and regulatory changes, and evaluating other CMS alternative payment models (APMs). The Director serves as the programmatic and operational leader for ACO REACH across NeueHealth, which includes a significant amount (approximately $700 million) of value-based contract revenue.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct program implementation and management work plans across projects and teams, including facilitation and management of reporting, compliance, clinical delivery, compliance, market delivery, and clinical operations representatives.
  • Work with leadership to shape strategic vision and growth strategy of APMs in Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Stay up to date on the latest policy and regulatory changes effecting alternative payment models (APMs) and promote NeueHealth thought leadership.
  • Create presentations and collateral in support of the Government Programs operations, including Monthly Operating Review slides and updates to executive leadership.
  • Develop and implement provider and beneficiary engagement strategies and develop strategic relationships with clinical preferred providers (PAC, lab, hospice and palliative care, etc.) for the ACO REACH model and other Government Programs to drive clinical and financial performance.
  • Oversee interdisciplinary response to contractual expectations including representation from contracting, legal, analytics, compliance, population health, and clinical operations.
  • Serve as ACO REACH subject matter expert and contribute to education across internal and external stake holders.
  • This is a hybrid role with weekly time in office required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has two direct reports with potential to expand scope.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
* A Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, healthcare administration, or a related field is required; Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MPP) is preferred.
* 10 (ten) or more years of experience working with provider organizations
* Experience in government programs strategy or consulting is preferred.
* Experience working with value-based care models and risk-taking primary care practices is required.
* Large project and program management experience is recommended.
* Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid products is highly preferred.
* Experience designing and implementing programs to build positive relationships between NeueHealth, physicians, hospitals, and practice managers is required.
