Wisconsin Early Childhood Association is a statewide, nonprofit association serving as a professional association whose members care for and educate Wisconsin’s children, aged birth to eight. We are affiliated with the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

The Wisconsin Early Education Shared Services Network (WEESSN) brings together family and center-based early care and education programs to pool resources and leverage economies of scale.

WECA is hiring a Spanish/English Bilingual Pre-licensing Technical Consultant in the Southeastern child care licensing region. This position will cover as needed the following counties: Waukesha, Milwaukee, Kenosha & Racine.

Being bilingual in English & Spanish and Early Childhood Education experience is required for this position.

We are seeking skilled personnel to deliver responsive pre-licensing technical assistance. This person will be responsible for supporting individuals and organizations in obtaining a license to operate a child care program. Key responsibilities include:

1. Sharing information and resources on licensing rules with potential applicants.
2. Reviewing proposed policies and procedures of potential applicants.
3. Conducting site visits to the location of the child care center, with additional visits as needed to ensure compliance with the initial licensing checklist.
4. Discussing best business practices for operating a small business in the childcare industry.
5. Offering technical assistance to applicants as they prepare initial licensing application materials.

The successful candidate will contribute to a seamless pre-licensing process, supporting the development of childcare centers and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.

Salary range for this position is $52,000 to $52,200 per year
