Bridgeway Therapy Center is seeking a Crisis Stabilization Consultant to provide support and consultation for clients and families in the home, school, therapy, and/or community settings who have been assessed and are in need of immediate behavioral intervention. These services are provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in conjunction with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Family Partnership program. Crisis stabilization services are designed to prevent or ameliorate a behavioral health crisis by providing intervention for clients who do not require inpatient services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Consultative Duties:
Collaborate with Family Partnership consultants, Bridgeway Academy staff, related professionals, and families to assess the need for acute crisis services
Conduct family/peer interviews, records reviews, Functional Behavioral Assessment, etc. to develop appropriate treatment plans
Utilize trauma-assumed approach to intervene and decrease maladaptive behaviors across a variety of settings (home, school, community, etc.)
Continuously evaluate existing treatment plans for effectiveness and modify treatment plans as needed
Provide parent training and coaching as appropriate
Foster and develop working relationships with service coordinators, therapists and other support staff
Collaborate with staff, therapists, families, and other treatment team members to develop holistic treatment plans and share pertinent treatment information
Attend appointments and meetings with family as needed to serve as an advocate and Bridgeway representative
Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health or medical professionals.
Provide supervision and coaching to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and BCBA fieldwork candidates
Provide direct assessment and treatment when required
Qualifications/Abilities
A minimum of a Master’s Degree in a related field of Special Education, Psychology, Education, etc. and certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification board as a BCBA or BCaBA in good standing.
Experience and training in practical functional assessment (PFA) and skills-based treatment (SBT) preferred, but not required
Effectively communicate with exceptional verbal, nonverbal, written, and listening skills.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid State Driver’s License
BCaBA, or BCBA, COBA
