Position Summary

Bridgestone Americas is looking for a contract manager to support our Sustainability, Mobility Solutions (BMS) and Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) groups. In this role you will provide legal support to these business units, including provision of transactional legal services and legal/business advice and strategy. The role will be based out of our Nashville, TN headquarters, working a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first point of contact for the Sustainability, BMS and M&A groups, helping to resolve and/or escalate legal issues as needed.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a variety of non-standardized statements of work (SOW) and standard company agreements, such as: professional services agreements, vendor-facing contracts, nondisclosure agreements, sales agreements, etc.
  • Interpret contract terms and conditions, and advise clients on contract obligations, remedies, and solutions.
  • Evaluate, and consult on, the needs and goals of clients with respect to a variety of issues, helping to identify risk and prepare practical and creative solutions for achieving goals while minimizing risk.
  • Maintain form libraries for supported legal department groups.
  • Maintain a large and fluctuating number of matters/projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, and 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house setting;
  • Prior experience in analyzing drafting, reviewing, negotiating and maintaining contracts;
  • Prior experience in some type of legal software; and
  • Prior experience in M&A and contract negotiation.

Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience in Agiloft
  • Global company experience
