Summary:
Nurses are responsible for implementing nursing services in medical detoxification and residential.
Job Responsibilities (This list is non-exclusive):
Perform intake assessments on all clients
Obtain vital signs and ongoing assessments on all clients
Timely, accurate, and complete medical record documentation
Medication administration following 8 rights of med administration
Uses clinical judgment to manage the delivery of patient care safely and effectively
Oral and written communication skills to convey patient progress and needs
Nursing care plan development and implementation
Ability to participate in on-call rotation
Participation in multidisciplinary treatment team
Provision of in-service education for staff as requested
Ability to work well with the medical and psychiatric providers and carry out physician's orders
Adherence to facility policy and procedures, State & Federal law, OSHA compliance, and Joint Commission regulation and standards
You will also be required to work a minimum of 1 holiday shift per calendar year. Holiday shift requirements are subject to change based on department need

Job Requirements:
BSN or ASN completed from an accredited school of nursing
Active RN or LPN license in good standing
1-year prior experience in a hospital and/or mental health setting preferred
Certified BLS provider current or able to obtain within 1 month of hire
Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Ability to work as a member of a team
Professional appearance, aptitude, and attitude
Impeccable ethics, integrity, and customer relation skills
Computer literacy and ability to use an EMR (Kipu)
Knowledge of "best practices" behavioral medicine treatment delivery and methodologies
Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Ability to understand the requirements of clientele
Employee Schedule: As a PRN Weekend On Call Nurse, your employment with the company will be based on a 40 hour work week. You will be scheduled to be on call every other weekend from 7am Friday morning through 7am Monday morning. You will be scheduled to work on an as needed basis, being available to work a minimum of two shifts per month based on the company’s need. If the full weekend (7am Friday- Monday 7am) is not covered you will receive the normal on call pay of $25 per 24 hour shift. If additional on call days are picked up outside of a normal on call weekend, that will also be compensated at the $25 per 24 hour shift rate.
As a PRN Weekend On Call nurse, your employment with the company will be based on a 40 hour work week. You will be scheduled to work on an as needed basis, being available to work a minimum of two 12- hour shifts per month and participate in the on-call rotation. The on-call rotation consists of one 3-day weekend or 3-24 hours shifts, approximately every other month. On call requirements are subject to change based on department need. The on-call nurse will be required to be available by phone for urgent nursing-related questions. The on call nurse must be available to come to work within 45 minutes of notification for staffing/emergency issues.
You will also be required to work a minimum of 1 holiday shift per calendar year. Holiday shift requirements are subject to change based on department need.
Physical Requirements:
Mobility - Twist, Bend, Stoop/squat, Move quickly (respond to emergency), Climb stairs, Walk, Stand
Hearing - Hear normal speaking level sounds (person-to-person), Hear faint body sounds (blood pressures, lung sounds, heart sounds), Hear in situations when not able to see mouth (when masks are being used), Hear alarms (monitors, fire alarms, code alarms)
Visual - See information up to 24 inches away (monitors, computer screens, skin conditions), See objects up to 20 feet away (patient in room), Use depth perception, Use of peripheral vision, Distinguish color and color intensity (flushed, as colored, or pale skin, color of labels)
Endurance - Walk long distances (transfer patient, etc.), Stand (at patient's side or therapeutic procedure, etc.), Sustain repetitive movement (CPR compressions, bagging, etc.), Maintain physical tolerance (stand/walk/work on your feet for 8-12 hours at a time with minimal breaks)
Strength - Push and pull 50 pounds (position patient, move equipment, etc.), Support 50 pounds of weight (ambulate patient, assist to bedside toilet, etc.) with assistance, Lift 50 pounds (transfer a patient, etc.) with assistance, Carry equipment/supplies, Use upper body strength (CPR), Squeeze with hands (operate fire extinguisher)
Other - Reach above shoulders/overhead, Reach below the waist (electrical plugs, etc.), Reach in front (assist patient with arms out), Pick up objects with hands, Grasp small objects with hands (pencils, pens, etc.), Write with pen, Use computer (type), Pinch/pick or otherwise work with fingers (use syringe, etc.), Twist at waist, Twist wrists/hands (turn objects/knobs using hands), Squeeze with fingers (eye droppers, bulb syringes, ear bulb, etc.)
