Medical Laboratory Science Adjunct Job Details Job Location Bridgeport, CT - Bridgeport, CT Position Type Part Time Description The University of Bridgeport is seeking candidates for the position of **Medical Laboratory Science Adjunct.** The College of Health Scienceshas an immediate need for Medical Laboratory Science faculty. The adjunct faculty member will teach Medical Laboratory Science (MLSC). Need faculty to reach Hematology (Introduction, Advanced and/or Clinical and Blood Banking (Introduction, Advanced and/or Clinical).This position is located in Bridgeport, CT.

This role is a non-tenure track position

**Major Duties and Responsibilities:**

Teaching MLSC courses and related duties including:

* Utilizing available resources to effectively meet the learning needs of students as required by certification and accreditation standards

* Interact, communicate and integrate with other departments of the University of Bridgeport community

* Performs related duties as necessary to support the University of Bridgeport

**Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree

* MLS (ASCP), categorical or equivalent certification

* Three years of recent clinical experience with described experiential parameters

* Documneted continuing education in MLS within the last three years

* Previous college or university teaching experience is required

**Preferred Qualifications:**

Alternative option to REQUIRED experience:

* A minimum of three years recent clinical experience and a generalist certification as a MLS or a minimal categorical certification in H(ASCP), BB(ASCP) with the requirement to BS required, MS/PhD degree preferred

* Interest in developing a research program and participation in the development o fa MS level MLSC program is preferred
