Splicing Project Manager activities include the installation, maintenance and upgrade of communication and utility infrastructure, including but not limited to: communications, electrical and natural gas infrastructure. Supervises Permit Coordinator, Construction Managers and Construction Coordinators and document control. Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Distribute jobs to Construction Manager
Determine the resources required per job in order to meet customer deadlines.
Update customer on percent of completions, roadblocks, and due dates
Prepare status reports to present to internal and external higher managing authorities.
Manage internal and external scheduling.
Coordinate and communicate with Client Program Management Office.
Prepare yearly budgets based on Customer's forecast.
Forecast monthly revenue and margins.
Responsible for P&L
Account for Fixed Assets
Track revenue daily, weekly, and monthly
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years PM experience in Telecom/Utilities Industry with focus on Fiber & Coax OSP Construction
Leadership
Read and interpret fiber design and cut sheets.
Ability to motivate, resolve conflicts, and make hard decisions.
Organized
Effective at time management
Strong math skills and financial acumen
Ability to analyze data and solve problems.
Effective communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to multi-task
Driven to achieve goals and make deadlines
Ability to work with a team to accomplish goals
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, and Access)
Technical understanding of field work activities Underground, aerial, splicing and testing
Ability to travel for extended periods
Physical Demands:
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record meeting the company policy
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs., equipment, tools, and boxes
Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
