Bridge Senior Living is Hiring an Executive Director (Senior Living) Near Birmingham, AL
Position Overview
The Executive Director, in partnership with Bridge Senior Living, is responsible for ensuring the stability and success of the community. The Executive Director has the ultimate authority over and management responsibility for all functional areas of the retirement community and ensures compliance with all current industry standards and guidelines. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Implement mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision. 2. Work with community team and Somerby leadership to enhance our Family, Resident and Associate experience. Seek out opportunities to surprise and delight each group. Set up, process and implement the following – Associate Recognition and Family/Resident Communication, Appreciation and Referral programs. 3. Provide strategic input, planning, and leadership on issues affecting the organization. 4. Ensure development of sound programs, best practices, policies, and procedures relating to marketing, public relations, Resident services, fiscal/budgetary matters, health care services, facilities management and development, risk management, and quality assurance. 5. In formalized daily stand up meetings, discuss issues related to improving Team, Resident and Family communication and satisfaction. Discuss issues related to sales and occupancy growth to include: sales activity, visit agenda planning, HOTS, needed assessments, and any other support needed to close sales. 6. Lead weekly sales and move-in planning meeting. Discuss the following: move-in expectations and results, HOTS, completion of sales activity vs. expectations, visit agenda planning, and Community Liaison activities. 7. Plan, direct, and evaluate the activities of the Directors to include Director of Sales and Marketing, Director of Resident Services, Director of Dining Services, Director of Housekeeping, Director of Engineering, Director of Health Services, Business Office Director and the Director of Lifestyle Programs. Oversee the contracted Information Technology function. 8. Represent the community and build relationships within the geographic area, the business and the industry. Connect with Residents and Families, identify business development opportunities from these relationships and act on them to the benefit Resident, Family and the Somerby community. 9. Attract, interview and hire individuals who have the ability to perform their job functions well. Ensure all Associates demonstrate character and behavior that lives up to and drives our company mission and vision. Practice joint accountability to ensure our Residents, Associates and Families are served well and feel at home in the community. 10. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. 11. Provide timely and accurate analyses, reports, and recommendations to Somerby Senior Living concerning the operation of the community. 12. Administer Associate Policies and Procedures. Develop, maintain and periodically update written policies and procedures and job descriptions. 13. Participate in and hold team accountable to rigorous onboarding and orientation standards. 14. Perform other duties as assigned. Attend in-service classes and staff meetings. 15. Continue to develop job-related knowledge, skills and abilities by participating in continuing educational opportunities for personal growth and development. 16. Obtain and demonstrate knowledge of the Spark Book, Spark Lifestyle and Wellness philosophy and its inherent core values. Support and participate in Spark Book Culture Initiatives (e.g. assist with feedback groups, assist in new initiatives, encourage Residents and act as champions of fun). 17. Practice servant leadership.What We Expect From You
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. • Licensed Long-Term Care Administrator preferred (not required) • At least 8 years of progressively responsible management experience in the senior living or long-term care industry or related field PREFERRED SKILLS: • Ability to read and write, follow written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion. Ability to perform duties with consideration for Residents’ rights at all times and demonstrate integrity and discretion in the care of Residents and in handling their health information. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and motivational skills. • Knowledge of management, fiscal, and medical/nursing practices and procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care. Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, interpret, and manage programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and resources necessary to provide quality of care.What You Can Expect From Us
