BRIDGE HOUSING is Hiring a Regional Property Supervisor Near Portland, OR

Summary

The Regional Property Supervisor reports to the Director of Operations for Property Management and is responsible for a property portfolio of 6-10 sites of affordable housing in Oregon. This position oversees each property’s day-to-day operations and ensures that staff are following BRIDGE’s policy and procedures. The Supervisor will also attend community and funder meetings, ensuring strong working relationships with stakeholders including residents, City and County managers and HQ. The Regional Property Supervisor ensures that sites are in compliance with all applicable funding requirements and shares responsibility for maintaining the physical asset and budget. 

BRIDGE Housing is a nonprofit, mission-oriented Affordable Housing developer, with more than 12,000 units under management. The incumbent will have knowledge of and reside in the Portland area. 

Responsibilities

  • Routinely visit sites to ensure procedures are followed and that preventive maintenance, physical plant repairs and upgrades are addressed; complete Quarterly Inspection Report form
  • Hire and supervise site personnel, conduct annual evaluations, and organize staff meetings and training
  • Cultivate strong communication and working relationships with stakeholders such as residents, vendors, staff, city and county personnel and HQ
  • Solicit bids and manage the budget for all maintenance and capital improvement projects
  • Monitor and make recommendations on budget performance
  • Resolve resident relations issues
  • Collaborate with other internal departments (Asset Management, Development, Accounting, Resident Programs) to ensure projects at the site are being completed
  • Maintain availability for 24-hour on-call service to receive property and staffing related emergencies
  • Assist VP, Directors and other Regional Property Supervisors with special projects as needed
  • Attend routine and special meetings with all stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years of hands-on property or facilities management experience
  • Some working knowledge experience with market rate housing
  • Associate’s degree; extensive relevant experience (7 years) may be substituted for degree 
  • Oregon Property Management license 
  • Valid OR driver’s license; travel is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse population groups
  • Outstanding problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to motivate and support on-site personnel
  • Must be able to work independently within a corporate organizational structure
  • Flexibility for 24-hour on-call service

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of affordable housing
  • Lease-up experience
  • Lived experience or knowledge of different Portland area communities
  • Experience with HVAC, mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing systems
  • Bilingual
